Any environment underpinned by the exploitation of an unprotected, unregulated adult migrant labour force numbering in the hundreds of thousands is going to be an environment in which children are vulnerable. 

On the Thai – Myanmar border children are exposed to potential abuse of many rights, from the most gross abuses including trafficking, child labour, child prostitution and sexual abuse, to the more fundamental abuses including barriers to accessing education, health care and adequate housing.
